Decide within 31 days of your hire date whether or not you want to enroll yourself or your dependents in medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), life insurance, critical illness or accident coverage.
Note: If you don’t enroll within 31 days of your hire date, you will default to no coverage. You will, however, be automatically enrolled in the following company-sponsored benefits at no cost:
- Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance equal to 1x your Benefits Base Rate
- Short-Term Disability
- Long-Term Disability
- 401(k) Savings Plan (Note: Your enrollment in the 401(k) plan will automatically take effect 60 days after your date of hire; however, you may begin contributing to the plan sooner. You will automatically be enrolled at a pre-tax contribution rate of 4% with investments directed to the John Hancock Balanced Lifestyle Fund. John Hancock will match your pre-tax and/or Roth 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of eligible pay and is immediately vested.)
